Melanofree is a concentrated dermatological cream intended for the short-term treatment of melasma and facial pigment spots. Its formula combines three powerful active ingredients: hydroquinone, tretinoin, and a corticosteroid. A combination with the same concentrations is used by prescription for moderate to severe melasma. 

Formula action

Hydroquinone 4%
Helps reduce the production of melanin responsible for dark spots.

Tretinoin 0.05%
Accelerates skin renewal and promotes the depigmenting action.

Fluocinolone acetonide 0.01%
A topical corticosteroid that helps limit inflammation and irritation caused by the other active ingredients.

This cream is not a standard lightening skincare product to be applied all over the body or to change the natural skin color.

Instructions for use

Product to be used only after consulting a doctor, dermatologist, or pharmacist.

Generally, a very small amount is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas in the evening. Avoid the eye contour, lips, sides of the nose, wounds, and irritated areas. High sun protection is essential every morning, as tretinoin increases the skin's sensitivity to the sun. The treatment is intended for limited use and not for prolonged maintenance. 

Important precautions

Do not use during pregnancy or if planning a pregnancy without medical advice, as the formula contains tretinoin. 

Redness, burning, dryness, peeling, or itching may occur. Excessive or prolonged use can cause significant irritation, skin thinning, or exogenous ochronosis, characterized by progressive blue-black discoloration. 

Do not combine with peels, retinol, exfoliating acids, benzoyl peroxide, aggressive scrubs, or additional depigmenting products without professional advice.

Melanofree is a highly concentrated formula, useful for certain stubborn spots, but it must be considered a dermatological treatment and not a simple cosmetic cream. Its use must be short, targeted, and supervised, with daily sun protection.
