A-Ret Gel 0.1% – Tretinoin

An intensive dermatological treatment formulated with 0.1% tretinoin, a retinoid derived from vitamin A. It helps unclog pores and promotes skin cell renewal. It is primarily used to treat acne.

Instructions for use

In the evening, on clean and perfectly dry skin, apply a pea-sized amount in a very thin layer over the entire affected area, not just on the pimples.

The 0.1% concentration is strong. To limit irritation, start with only 1 to 2 evenings per week, then increase gradually according to skin tolerance and the recommendations of a healthcare professional.

Avoid the eye area, lips, corners of the nose, wounds, and mucous membranes. Wash your hands after application. Tretinoin leaflets generally recommend daily application in the evening, but the frequency should be adjusted in case of irritation. 

Recommended routine

In the evening: gentle cleanser, well-dried skin, A-Ret Gel, then moisturizer.

In the morning: moisturizer and SPF 50 sunscreen are mandatory, as tretinoin makes the skin more sensitive to the sun. 

Important precautions

Redness, tingling, dryness, or peeling may occur at the beginning. Space out applications and stop temporarily in case of significant irritation. 

Do not combine in the same routine with other highly irritating products such as peels, scrubs, concentrated acids, or other retinoids without professional advice.

Not recommended during pregnancy or if planning a pregnancy. Seek the advice of a doctor or pharmacist while breastfeeding. As this product is a highly dosed dermatological treatment, it should ideally be used under medical advice.
